SLIMBRIDGE DOWSING GROUP REPORTS
Table Dowsing - The SDG Christmas Party
What do dowsers do at Christmas? Have fun, of course! For our Christmas meeting/party on 11th December, we had a Four Tables event, but in our case it was five.
Members and guests were able to visit each table in turn and using either their L-rods or pendulum, had a go at map dowsing to find an extinct village between Tetbury and Cirencester (inhabitants had died out during the plague in the 1600s); finding the electrical faults in a run of Christmas tree lights; dating pottery (one piece believed to be from the 13th century); remote viewing and checking on allergies and intolerances.
For their Christmas meeting, Slimbridge Dowsing Group held a Four Tables event.
The remote viewing was the most challenging. We were given a selection of envelopes, each containing a picture of a famous landmark somewhere in the world, and by simply holding it, had to report the images that came into our minds. This was the first time for most of us, so we didn’t do too well, but as with most things, the more you do it, the better it gets.
The allergies and intolerances table, run by our Chairman, Peter Golding, was one of the most popular. By simply touching a selection of foods one at a time - bread, coffee, eggs, dairy produce, an orange, a tomato, etc. - our L-rods or pendulum would indicate whether we had a true allergy or merely an intolerance, or whether it was OK. Peter then went on to ameliorate the reaction in the hope of balancing the ‘patient’ and make it safe to try the suspect foods. One delighted lady ceased to react to fish and another now seems safe to try oranges again after many years without.
Our fifth table was filled with exciting-looking Christmas presents, provided by one generous member. We had to dowse asking, "Which is the most suitable Christmas present from Jim to me?" Several rods responded to bottles of wine and chocolates, but no one picked up on the packet of cigarettes, which tells you a lot about dowsers!
Once we’d tried our hands at the tables, we moved on to checking out each other’s chakras and auras. This was great fun - one member was found to have an enormous aura measuring over 12-feet, and another member was delighted to learn all her chakras were in balance, which is actually quite unusual.
